It’s a supercharged and power packed – yet tiny – vibrator that punches well above its weight. Sure, it’s no Hitachi Magic Wand but it’s a fraction of the size and, unless you’re an absolute power queen, is more than enough to deliver some amazing orgasms.
The Tango has 8 different vibration settings. The first level starts out deep and rumbly – in fact, you’ll probably be surprised at how rumbly this little bullet vibe is.
You can then increase the power by pressing the button at the base of the vibe. We found it to feel the best at level 3, while level 4 was a bit much for direct clit stimulation.

The higher levels were also great to use at the base of a penetrating toy, as the vibrations would travel up the toy and provide great internal stimulation.
The only downside that we found was that the Tango can be a little difficult to hold on to at those higher levels. Since it’s a compact bullet vibe, there’s no handle or ergonomic grip. Combined with the smooth ABS plastic material and some wet or lubed-up fingers…
In those situations we had to use some pretty direct pressure to keep it in place, which can get overbearing at the higher intensity levels. The vibrations also travel into your hand and wrist a bit, which adds to the difficulties.
So really our only complaint is that the Tango vibrates too much for its size, which is what we like to call a high quality problem.
Charging, Battery Life, and Loudness
Quieter than most vibrators
So yeah, the We-Vibe Tango has incredibly powerful vibrations, but how does it measure up on the quality-of-life features?
First off: it’s pretty damn quiet. Not as quiet as something like a suction toy or purposely-discreet vibrator like the Vesper Crave or Lelo Mia 2, but when we tested it you couldn’t hear levels 1 or 2 from the other side of a closed door. Levels 3 and 4 are a bit louder, but again couldn’t be heard when used under covers and through a door.
One aspect to consider is that external clit vibrators are always a bit louder than something internal, because your body doesn’t block the vibrations as well. It can also make some extra noise if you get particularly wet, as the moisture can conduct sound a bit more.
But all in all, the Tango is a very quiet vibe despite its powerful vibrations which is a big part of why we recommend it as a great all-around vibe.
Charging and battery life
One downside some users report with the Tango is that it’s difficult to keep the magnetic nodes connected to the charger. The charger itself is a standard micro-USB with a special adapter to fit onto the Tango’s base.
We never experienced any of these problems – it’s always connected to the charger easily, and we generally charge it by plugging into standard USB adapter for a power strip or wall outlet (or just plug it into your computer).
You get about 2 hours of battery life out of a single charge; a bit less if you’re constantly using it on the highest mode or cycling through the settings.
There’s also a handy low-power alert to let you know if it needs a charge before playtime. There’s nothing worse than your trusty vibe dying on you as you’re almost to climax!
It also takes less than 2 hours to recharge fully (about 80-90 minutes). This is nice because other vibes we’ve reviewed can take as long as 2X to 4X as long to charge as you get out of using them.
This battery efficiency is largely due to the fact that the Tango’s motor is, by necessity, tiny. Despite the powerful vibrations, it uses a surprisingly small amount of actual power.
Accessorize or Pair With Your Favorite Toy
Another great aspect about the Tango: it works great on its own as an external clit stimulator, but it can also serve double-duty and plays well with internal penetrating toys.
