If you made it this far, you might have notice one common downside with many of the products we reviewed: that many smaller and medium plugs have the problem of possibly getting pulled into your ass during use.
We’re really not making this up, and this happens more frequently than you’d think.
This is why we generally prefer anal toys with a T-base when possible – something that isn’t very compatible with the jeweled base on most princess plugs. This is particularly problematic for many of the smaller princess plugs we reviewed, and also for the plugs with the heart-shaped base.

We understand that it may be tempting to try out one of these toys for $10 but please resist that temptation and just shell out a bit more for one of these good princess plugs from a reputable manufacturer.

“Silico” 3 Piece Set From Hmxpls
Does a mall, medium, and large plug set for $9 seem like too good a deal to be true?
Well, that’s not a typo. Throughout the product description they talk about luxurious “silico” material, most likely because it legally can’t be called silicone. Who knows what fillers or other materials have been used to cut costs on these toys?
Beyond that, we know Hxmpls is a Chinese-based manufacturer, where material quality and QA laws are much more lax. No thank you, next!

Another seemingly amazing deal. And yet another toy that’s made from cheap, unsafe materials seeking to imitate more expensive, proven toys.
We really like the general shape and look of this set, and we wish it were the real deal. But sadly, it isn’t.

AKStore Chrome-Plated Princess Plug
This is perhaps the most popular offender on Amazon. These AKstore jeweled princess plugs have a bunch of listings for individual plugs or sets of plugs in various sizes, and many of the listings have 50-100 or more positive reviews.
By our estimations this might very well be the most popular unsafe sex toy out there. And it’s a double whammy – unsafe in both materials (chrome-plated alloy) and shape (too-narrow base)!
Look, we understand that princess plugs are all the rage right now. And you’re all adults and can choose what to do with your own bodies. We just emphatically ask that each and every one of you respect your bodies, and spend a bit more time and money finding the best princess butt plug for your needs.

Princess plugs are one of the most notorious categories of sex toys with cheap and downright crappy options out there. There’s just SO many of those “metal” princess plugs with dubious materials, craftsmanship, and too-narrow heart shaped bases.
That said, we understand the popularity of these toys and that you’re probably going to buy one anyways. All we implore is that you spent the extra $10-20 for one of the budget plugs on this list for your own health and safety.
