Finding a good realistic vibrating dildo is a bit of a challenge.
There are two main problems:
- Soft, realistic silicone has a tendency to dampen vibrations
- Toys with an internal motor often have a very firm core, and thus don’t feel as realistic
So you need to find a dildo that rides the line between firm for good vibrations, and soft for that realistic feeling.
That’s why we picked Alan and Sam from the Tantus O2 collection as our pick for best realistic vibrating dildos. The core of the dual-density silicone is firm enough that it transmits vibrations well throughout the dildo, while the outer layer is squishy enough for that lifelike feeling.
We’ll look at every dildo in the O2 dual density collection in this round up review, we just wanted to state that our favorites are Alan and Sam.
All dildos in the collection are harness compatible, but Alan and Sam are the only two with the option for a bullet vibrator or suction cup base (which are both great options to have).

- Harness Compatible: great for strap on or realistic pegging play
- Firm realistic feeling: the firmer core feels closer to a true hard-on than some squishier dual density toys
- Vibrating: the bullet vibe base and firmer core on these toys does a good job of transmitting vibrations (Alan, Sam, & Duchess)
- Suction cup: the Tantus suction cups have some real holding power compared to other suction cup dildos (Alan & Sam)
- Price: dual density is never cheap, but this collection is more fairly priced than other high-end realistic dildos
- Can only use the vibrator OR suction cup base - can't use both at once
- Not great for targeted g-spotting as both toys are fairly straight without super pronounced heads
- Not as many size options as the Vixen VixSkin collection
Tantus O2 Collection Specs:
Our Rating: 9.1 / 10
Price: $60 – $120
Insertable Length: 5.5″ – 7.45″
Max Girth: 1.5″ – 1.8″
Materials: Dual Density Silicone
Features: Harness compatible. Bullet vibe and suction cup compatible (Alan & Sam).
Colors:
We focused explicitly on Alan and Sam in our guide to the best realistic dildos (they’re the only two realistic options below with bullet vibe and suction cup compatibility), but there’s not a bad dildo in the entire O2 collection.
There’s 6 realistic-looking dildos here, along with 3 nonrealistic (but still dual density) dildos if you want something a little less phallic looking.
Let’s look at each toy individually:
Realistic Dildos
Alan O2
Dimensions: 6.5″ insertable length, 1.55″ shaft diameter
Features: Removable bullet vibe and suction cup base. Harness compatible.
Price: $100
Alan is the ideal starter dildo in the O2 collection. It’s pretty much dead ‘average’ in size when looking at the data for every dildo available to buy. Girthy without being too thick for most beginners, and long enough for deep vaginal or anal play.
As mentioned above it comes with both an insertable bullet vibe and a Tantus suction cup attachment. You can only use one at a time, which is a bit of a downside. But it’s nice to have the options.
If you want some powerful vibrations, upgrade the bullet to the We-Vibe Tango (our pick for best bullet vibe). The suction cup that comes with it is about as good as any suction cup we’ve tested, so no need to upgrade there.
Sam O2
Dimensions: 7.3″ insertable length, 1.8″ shaft diameter
Features: Removable bullet vibe and suction cup base. Harness compatible.
Price: $120
Sam is like Alan’s bigger brother, with another .75″ insertable length and 1.8″ shaft girth. Sam is going to be pretty damn big for a beginner, but is a fantastic realistic challenge for someone looking to size up to intermediate-sized toys.
Between the harness-compatible base, the bullet vibe, or the suction cup there’s plenty of ways to use Sam, and the material of the dual density silicone is the perfect blend of firm but fleshy.
Mark O2
Dimensions: 5.5″ insertable length, 1.6″ shaft diameter
Features: Harness compatible.
Price: $90
Mark is a moderate sized realistic dildo with less pronounced veins and skin texture.
The non-vibrating toys are a bit softer and squishier than the vibrating toys, mostly because of the firmness needed to the insertable bullet vibe or suction cup.
These solid-base dildos are all a bit softer than the vibrating options, with Mark (and Gary below) having noticeably more ‘squish’ than Alan and Sam.
We like the added bit of firmness on the bullet vibe dildos, but if you want something more on the supersoft end of the spectrum, Mark and Gary are for you.
Gary O2
Dimensions: 7″ insertable length, 1.5″ shaft diameter
Features: Harness compatible.
Price: $90
Similar to Mark above, but with more realistic texturing and some minor bumps near the head. There’s also a slight upward curve to Gary for some better G-spot and prostate stimulation.
But if it’s g-spot and prostate play you’re after, we actually like the next two dildos a bit more…
Uncut #1
Dimensions: 7.5″ insertable length, 1.75″ shaft diameter
Features: Harness compatible. Upward-angled shaft and bulbous head for g-spot and prostate play.
Price: $100
Both the uncut dildos feel a bit firmer than Mark or Gary, although less firm than Alan and Sam.
This is ideal for prostate or g-spot stimulation, as you want that bit of firmness to apply pressure to your erogenous zones.
It also helps that the uncut O2 dildos also have an upward-curving shaft, and slightly more bulbous heads for even better stimulation.
Uncut #2
Dimensions: 6.4″ insertable length, 1.6″ shaft diameter
Features: Harness compatible. Thicker head for g-spot and prostate play.
Price: $90
Non-Realistic Dildos
Tantus also makes some non-realistic dual density dildos as part of their O2 line. The shape is less obviously-phallic (so veins and some added ripples), and these dildos come in nonrealistic pink or purple.
Of these three, Duchess is the firmest because it has a thicker core to house a bullet vibe. Whereas Flurry and Cush are the softest dildos in the entire collection.
Flurry O2
Dimensions: 7″ insertable length, 1.5″ shaft diameter
Features: Harness compatible. Ribbed head to additional stimulation.
Price: $60
A soft, squishy semi-realistic dildo with an extra ribbed head for some additional pleasure on the initial insertion.
Flurry has good length and is a respectable 1.5″ wide shaft. It’s also the most affordable toy in the collection, making it a great value overall.
Cush O2
Dimensions: 6.75″ insertable length, 1.75″ shaft diameter
Features: Harness compatible. Ribbed shaft and pronounced head.
Price: $70
Cush O2, as the name implies, is very soft and cushy – with the exception of that rib halfway down the shaft.
The rib is quite firm so you definitely feel it sliding in and out, which may or may not be a good thing depending on what you’re after.
The Duchess
Dimensions: 6.5″ insertable length, 1.6″ shaft diameter
Features: Harness compatible. Rounded, bulbous head for prostate/g-spot stim. Bullet vibe compatible (included)
Price: $80
The Duchess is also a fantastic G-spotter for a couple of reasons:
- A large, bulbous head helps put broad pressure where you want it
- The smooth 1.6″ wide shaft slides in and out easily for fast thrusting
- The insertable bullet vibe provides even more pleasure
- The firmer core for the bullet vibe also helps translate pressure through the dildo and onto your prostate or g-spot
We really like the Duchess the most of the 3 non-realistic dildos due to the above factors.
Tantus O2 Dual Density Dildos: Final Review
We definitely slant toward the three vibe-compatible dildos (Alan, Sam, and The Duchess) not only for their vibe compatibility, but we like the extra bit of firmness to the core on these toys.
But really, the whole O2 collection is fantastic, and Tantus has been making some of the best dual density silicone for over 2 decades.
And like we always say, the best dildo is one that meets your own preferred length, width, aesthetics, and shape.
