We love this idea – so much of the costs of a physical product line is spent on stuff like flashy packaging to stand out in stores, or costly marketing initiatives. By selling direct-to-consumer online, Tantus cuts out all these middlemen and are able to give you an incredibly high quality product at an unbeatable price.
Yeah, some of the shapes are a little funky, but that’s part of what makes this collection great: there’s something for every body.

The Noob is definitely a beginner-friendly butt plug. In terms of both total size and the tapered shape, everything about this plug is designed to ease you into anal play.
The taper up to, and down from, the widest point (1.1 inches) allows for gradual relaxation as you work the plug in or out. And once in, the plug will sit relatively securely due to the long, thin neck.
A fantastic starter plug for you or a partner.
Paladin

A much more aggressively-bulbed butt plug. Paladin front-loads the maximum girth of the toy (1.5 inches) at the very tip. However once past that, it’s smooth sailing.

Bard

The gradual taper to and from the widest point helps for basic anal training as the plug slides comfortably in either direction. And the .75″ neck is narrow enough to feel comfortable and keep the plug snugly in place.
Our Review
We like Tulip as the best all-around beginner butt plug in this collection. At 1.3 inches max girth it’s not too wide to be a major challenger for the anal beginner, but it’s wider than something like Noob (only 1.1 inches).
The round tip is still small enough to slide into place easily and warm you up for the wider points. And once in it can be pulled in and out to further warm up your asshole.
A great beginner butt plug – and also fantastic for some extra double-penetration stimulation during PIV sex.
3 Scoops

3 Scoops is an intermediate-sized butt plug with a little extra texture to it, hence the name. The first bulb acts like a nice little warm-up to the 2nd, 1.3 inch middle bulb.
Once you’re past the main bulb, the plug fits snugly into place allowing you to play around the 3rd tapered bulb. The narrow neck means you can insert all 3 bulbs and trust the plug will sit snugly where it belongs.
Beacon

We really like the look of Beacon as an intermediate-level anal trainer. The first part of the shaft is little wider than a finger, and loosens you up nicely for what’s to come.
Then Beacon’s second bulb kicks into gear and smoothly expands up to 1.5 inches max diameter to give you a nice stretch. If you can take the whole bulb in (which shouldn’t be that difficult), you’re rewarded with a nice feeling of fullness, as well as enough length to stimulate the prostate.
4 Balls

We love the look of this toy. The 4 beaded balls that give the toy it’s name provide additional stimulation as they slide in and out. At 4.5 inches insertable – and with a large ball at the tip of the toy – it should be more than enough to hit the p-spot, while the 4th bulb provides more anal stimulation at the other end.
It’s not a super girthy toy: 1.2 inches at max diameter, which falls squarely in the “beginner-intermediate” size range for anal toys. But what it lacks in raw size it makes up for with sleek, round curves. We just wish it came in a slightly larger size.
Our Review
Oh god does this feel amazing as a warm up toy. None of the bulbs are thick enough to be really challenging, but you do feel each one as it slides into your ass on the initial insertion. Few things are hotter than your partner counting each bulb you’ve taken in as they insert the butt plug.
Similar to Tantus’ Ripple plug, the beads keep this toy from staying fully inserted – we noticed the plug tended to pop out to the spot between the 3rd/4th bulb without some manual pressure. Once you’ve warmed up to the girth of the toy, your asshole will relax and you’ll stop feeling each individual ball, but it still feels great sliding in and out.
Oh, and if you’re a guy – have your partner insert 4 Balls and use a magic wand on the base of the plug. The length is just right to really hit the p-spot and do some amazing prostate milking.
We wish it were a bit thicker, but all-in-all a fantastic beginner anal toy.
Orb

Orb is one of the first truly unique shapes to come out of the Planet Dildos line, and is one of the best truly round butt plugs we’ve ever seen. This toy absolutely takes off from the starting line and quickly works up to its max 1.7 inch diameter with the spherical and… well, orb-like head. Bring plenty of lube.
Once in place, Orb provides amazing internal sensations with the volume and fullness of the toy. And the slim neck ensures Orb sits right in place, perfect for extended wear. And with the weight of Orb inside you, it should move around quite a bit as you go about your business. At 3 inches insertable it’ll be too small to hit the prostate for most if that’s a concern.
Gazebo

Gazebo is a traditional “spade-shaped” butt plug, but there’s nothing traditional about the size! At 1.8 inches max diameter, it’s what we would describe as an “intermediate-advanced” butt plug.
Combined with the price, and it’s a fantastic choice for those looking for a larger butt plug on a budget. And once in place, Gazebo stays in place, with a strong taper on the back side of the plug. Also a fantastic choice for extended wear.
Toadstool

Don’t let Toadstool’s slow tapered shape deceive you – at 1.9 inches wide it’s actually tied for girthiest toy in all of Planet Dildos! That said, the tapered tip really does help warm you up for the main event.
But make no mistake, Toadstool will feel massive if you’re an anal beginner. However those with some experience should be able to work up to all of Toadstool comfortably, with the long tapered tip allowing you to work at your own pace.
Our Review
Toadstool is a really deceptive plug, but in a great way. The way the taper expands it goes in really easy and has you thinking you’re making great progress on the toy.
But that max girth of 1.9 inches wide really sneaks up on you and provides a fantastic stretch and sensation play. And once inserted – well it’s not going anywhere.
This thing locks in place and provides that good kind of anal stretch that can give you leg quivers (as long as you’re not already used to super thick butt plugs).
A fantastic plug for long-term wear, or for plugging your own ass (or your partners ass) during sex. Just don’t be fooled by the taper and max girth of the Toadstool!
Ranger

Ranger’s general shape is actually very similar to Toadstool’s, but with an added bump near the tip. It’s also slightly thinner at 1.6 inches max diameter, making it a much more manageable intermediate-level plug.
Ranger is generally a very tapered plug, meaning you can get the first bump in, and then gradually work up to the bigger bulb without worrying about the plug popping out. It’s also long enough to hit the p-spot, and the angle on the base means it will sit in place well for extended wear.
All in all a great toy and one of the ones we’re most excited to try!
Joy Stick

Joy Stick is the other girthiest toy in Planet Dildos, with a max width of 1.9 inches. At 5.5 inches insertable, it’s also long enough to comfortably use with a strap on harness – provided your partner can comfortably handle that bulb!
The slim tip of the toy helps you acclimate to what’s to come, sort of like a built in warm-up so you don’t pull a muscle. It also provides additional stimulation when the Joy Stick is fully inserted, although if that’s the case you’ll mostly be feeling that thick sphere at the base!
Keg

Similar to Orb but with a little more volume, Keg is another fantastic cheap butt plug for extended wear and maximal fullness. There’s about a half-inch of “warm up”, then roughly 2.5 inches of Keg at it’s girthiest (1.75 inches diameter), then Keg tapers down to a thin neck that will sit snugly in place over time.
If you’re looking for a full, thick butt plug that can be left in for hours, this is a fantastic choice. It’s definitely an intermediate-level toy, but you’ll be rewarded once you can get it all inside you.
Dill Pound

NPC

We really like the design on NPC, and feel it sort of epitomizes the entire Planet Dildos collection. The futuristic looking curves, the silver and purple colors, the overall size of this toy, and the great price point – we love it all.
NPC has a lot going for the design of the shape:
- You start small with the first bulb, just a bit thicker than a finger
- That slides in, and you work your way up the intermediate-sized bulb, at roughly 1.5 – 1.6 inches.
- Once there you can work the 2nd bulb in and out to prepare for the final part of NPC
- The toy works up to one last thick – and long- bulb, roughly 1.85 inches wide by 3 inches long.
We like how NPC works you up step by step, and once you have the whole thing in you can play with all the various “difficulty settings” at your own pace. We’ve been reviewing this with anal sex in mind, but NPC is also thick and long enough to be used vaginally and provide amazing sensations.
Dill Drive

Like Dill Pound, but almost 2 inches longer and with a thicker head. Dill Drive is definitely an intermediate-advanced anal dildo, and it’s more than thick enough to get the job done vaginally.
It’s all smooth sailing once you get past Dill Drive’s bulbous head, as the gentle tapers on the neck of the toy help it slide back and forth. Like the rest of Planet Dildos, this toy is strap on compatible with your standard O-ring style harness!

Are these toys harness compatible?
All Planet Dildos toys have a wide circular base that are compatible with most O-ring harnesses. Making these toys suitable as both a butt plug or as a strap on dildo. Certain shapes will lend themselves to specific use-cases, but these toys are well-suited to a wide range of play.
Planet Dildos by Tantus: Final Review
We know the aesthetic on some of these toys is a little funky, but we love how Tantus combined a limited color palette with a cohesive style to really give Planet Dildos that classic spacey, sci-fi feel.
And even if a particular shape isn’t for you, that’s okay – there’s 15 other shapes to choose from. Everything from starter butt plugs, to massively girthy round toys, to fairly traditional dildos – there’s a toy for everyone in this collection.
